The acetylene lines in the Silversmith Room were more than 20 years old and presented a potential safety concern. The aging lines were replaced to support a safer environment for residents using the facility.
The East Pool’s aging filter developed a crack that allowed sand to enter the pool. The damaged filter was replaced to improve water filtration and help maintain a cleaner, more enjoyable swimming environment.
After more than 20 years, the landscaping in the EPC area is ready for an update. Improvements are planned to refresh the space and enhance the overall appearance of the community.
The landscaping along Higley Road had several dead plants and areas with little or no decorative rock. Improvements were completed to create a cleaner, more attractive appearance that reflects the pride we take in the Venture Out community.
The lawn bowling turf had deteriorated due to improper maintenance practices. With a new specialized mower and enhanced staff training, we are working to restore the playing surface and make it one of the best lawn bowling facilities in the area.
After 54 years of service, the community’s sewer manholes have begun to deteriorate. This project will restore them to like-new condition and includes a 30-year warranty, helping protect this essential infrastructure for years to come.
A new sewer line is planned from the kitchen’s grease pit to the street. Currently, the grease pit must be emptied manually, and this improvement will provide a more efficient, reliable long-term solution.
Rainwater near the Recreation Center mailroom was draining toward the building, creating the potential for water damage. The area was regraded and a larger drainage pit was installed to direct water away from the facility.
This project will replace the final remaining section of the Recreation Center’s foam roof that has not yet been updated, completing the facility’s roof improvements.
Venture Out’s streets were seal coated with Holbrook Asphalt’s HA5 product. This high-performance treatment is expected to last seven to nine years, approximately twice as long as conventional sealers, helping protect our streets and extend their service life.
The Silversmith Room previously relied on an evaporative cooler and did not have a heating system. A new mini-split system was installed to provide residents with more comfortable temperatures.
A professional greens mower was purchased to properly maintain three of the community’s sports courts, each of which requires the same specialized care as a putting green. This equipment will help ensure the playing surfaces receive the consistent, appropriate maintenance they need.
Many of the community’s concrete valley gutters had become cracked or damaged over time. The affected sections were replaced to improve drainage and maintain the condition of our roadways.
