Glass Arts Club
CLUB INFORMATION
Glass Art offers its members the opportunity to create
unique fused glass, stained glass, and slumped glass pieces
of art, and to participate in the respective classes.
Membership enables you to access an abundance of
patterns, the shop, and our equipment when a monitor is on duty.
There are always people eager to provide assistance and support. All club members are expected to be active
participants in our featured activities and meetings. Come
in for a visit, sign up for a class, and join the club!

Meetings
The Club Membership meets monthly during the 2nd week of the month. Watch the bulletin board in the club for specific date and time.
Shop Hours:
Monday – Friday 9am-4pm
Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6pm-9pm
Sundays from 11am-2pm
Hours are posted at the shop, located in the 600 block of Navajo, in the RV parking lot.

Club FAQs
What skill level is required to join?
Answer: All levels of glass artists are welcome! If you are new to stained glass, fused glass, or stepping stones, we offer classes, equipment and mentoring to help you get started.
Where are you located?
Answer: The Glass Art Studio is located in the southeast corner of Venture Out. Access is from the middle of the 600 block of Aero.Â
When are you open?
Answer: The Glass Arts Studio is normally open Monday through Friday 9AM to 4PM. Evening sessions are also frequently scheduled. Saturday the Studio is reserved for Monitors. Please check the Studio Monitor Board near the club entrance for current hours.

Classes
Classes begin in November. Sign-up sheets are located in the Glass Arts Studio.
Introduction to Glass Arts (Glass Arts 101)
Hands-on introduction to stained glass cutting, foiling, and soldering. Tools and glass provided.
Copper Foiling Butterfly Project
Create a butterfly using glass cutting, foiling, and soldering techniques learned in Glass Arts 101.
* Both Glass Arts 101 and Copper Foiling/Butterfly classes are pre-requisites to receiving a GA (Glass Arts) badge decal and signing up for additional classes.
Use of Studio Equipment
Learn how to use various specialized saws, kilns, drill press, and the Morton cutting system to make creating with glass easier.
Introduction to Glass Fusion (also called Glass Fusion Beginners)
Hands-on introduction to glass fusion. Tools and other supplies are provided, but participants must purchase their own glass for a project to be constructed during the class. Your work will be fired in club kilns. *Pre-requisite to access additional fusion classes.
Advanced Fusion
Exploring complex techniques like kiln weaving, vitrigraph ribbon manipulation, impression casting, and advanced molds for multi-dimensional projects.
Garden Stones
Demonstration class on making a stepping stone with a stained glass design on cement or on flagstone.
Mixed Medium
Learn how to combine stained glass, copper, lapidary, ceramics, or wood in an art piece.
Mosaics
Learn how cut and use mosaics for your glass design.
3 Dimensional Glass Art
Learn about making bowls, plates, vases, glass weaving and much more.
From time to time we will offer classes featuring outside instructors.
Classes will be posted in the Glass Art Studio.
