There’s plenty happening around Venture Out, both around the resort and online! This week’s updates include progress on landscaping and fiber optics, new “Hey Vinny!” letters, and exciting news about our brand-new website. Each Club now has its own web page (a big thanks to those, like Softball, who’ve already submitted their updates!).

Here’s a quick look at what’s been going on this week at Venture Out.
Fiber Optic Project Update and Clarification
Installation has begun
We’ve made great progress this week with our ongoing projects! The fiber optics installation has officially begun, and the crew reports that our ground conditions are soft, allowing them to move along at an excellent pace.
So far, there haven’t been any significant issues that couldn’t be quickly resolved. If you notice anything concerning near your lot or have questions about placement, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Steve Byfield (VO General Manager) so he can work with you directly.
It’s exciting to see this project taking shape and moving forward so efficiently!
Installation Clarification
We’ve received some comments about the tan pedestals being installed by the fiber contractor. This topic was covered during last spring’s Fiber Optics meeting, where all of the equipment was shown and explained in detail.
The tan pedestals serve as connection points that provide service to approximately 12 to 16 homes along each street. Smaller boxes, mounted at ground level, connect directly to two homes.
At no time did the Board mislead anyone about what these installations would look like. In fact, the pedestals are similar in size to those already used by CenturyLink and Dish Network throughout the community.
Project Updates
Pickleball Court Lighting Update
Work on the pickleball court lights is moving along nicely. We currently have four employees assisting the electrician with installing the poles and digging the necessary trenches.
In some areas, we needed to bore five holes through the concrete to set the poles securely. With steady progress, we’re hopeful this project will be completed by late next week.
Sinking In
A few improvements are underway around the resort! A new sink has been installed in the laundry room, adding some extra convenience for residents.
Grounds and Landscaping Updates
Our landscaper will be on-site this week to replace plants that didn’t survive the July heat, and seven new trees have been ordered to replace those lost in the August storms. In addition, the crew will begin landscape updates along the exterior areas of Main Street, Higley, and Broadway Road, helping keep our community well cared for and looking fresh.
Pedestrian Gate
Several maintenance and improvement projects are underway this month. Concrete work has begun for the new pedestrian gate along Broadway Road and near the pet park, making these areas more accessible.
Valley Gutters
We also completed repairs to several valley gutters throughout the resort where the pavement had heaved over the past year. In addition, a new yellow awning for the tennis and pickleball areas has been ordered and is scheduled for installation later this month.

A quick reminder to please use the app we’ve set up to schedule appointments with Patrol. This system has greatly reduced wait times and helped minimize the number of residents waiting in the lobby.

Groups have dedicated sections that include key details such as meeting times, locations, and contacts, these should be kept up to date as information changes.

Letters from Hey Vinny!
Hey Vinny!
So, can you help me understand why some residents think it’s ok to wash off their driveways and leave the debris in the street for someone else to clean up their mess as it blows into our driveways when it dries?
Sincerely, Dusty
Well now, partner… I’ve been wanderin’ these parts a long time, and I’ve seen my fair share of tumbleweeds, dust storms, and muddy paws but I’ll never quite understand why some folks think the wind is their personal cleanup crew!
When we wash off our driveways and let the debris roll into the street, it doesn’t just disappear. It ends up cloggin’ drains, blowin’ into neighbors’ yards, and makin’ a bigger mess for everyone. Around here, we take pride in keepin’ our desert home lookin’ sharp, and that means doin’ our part to clean up after ourselves.
So next time you’re rinsin’ things down, grab that broom and sweep up the leftovers. The desert critters, and your neighbors, will surely thank ya.
Hey Vinny!
I saw a resident getting his water jug filled up at the tennis & pickleball courts. Is that Ok to do?
Sincerely, T. Hirsty
Well shoot, I get it, it’s mighty tempting to top off that big ol’ water jug when you’re passin’ by the courts on a warm Arizona day. But here’s the thing, friends: those water stations at the tennis and pickleball courts are meant just for the players usin’ those areas.
Filling large containers runs those filters down quicker than a dust devil in July, and replacin’ them ain’t cheap. That means higher costs for everyone, and nobody wants that!
So please, let’s keep the refill stations for their intended use and bring your water from home when you need a big fill-up. The coyotes and the community both thank ya kindly for doin’ your part.
Your pal, Vinny 🐾
