The Venture Out Tennis Club is where fun, fitness, and friendship come together—on and off the court.
Members enjoy eight well-maintained courts, ball machines, easy court reservations, and a full schedule of organized play—from social round robins and Play & Practice sessions to leagues, tournaments, and one-day invitationals. Social and volunteer events round out a vibrant, connected tennis community. Book a court through CourtReserve (See link and instructions in FAQ section below).

What Members Get
• Court Access & Ball Machines: Reserve courts for private play and book ball machines for practice.
• Organized Play for All Levels: Participate in social round robins, Play & Practice sessions, beginner lessons, and the popular Sunday Mixed Doubles Ladder.

Announcements and News
January highlights included the January 10 Invitational, where 80 players from Venture Out and Sunland Village East braved chilly conditions to enjoy great competition, plenty of laughs, and a wonderful lunch—thanks to event coordinator Frank Muller and the many volunteers who made the day a success.
At the January 13 Taco Salad Luncheon, volunteers served 310 taco salads, filling the room with fresh flavors, easy conversation, and lots of laughter at this popular event organized by Meryl Coutts.
The January 21 General Meeting featured Board updates on membership, finances, court play, leagues, tournaments, player development, social events, and upcoming Club activities, and included the welcome of a new Board member.

How do I book courts and ball machines?
Book your Court using CourtReserve (courtreserve.com/)
CourtReserve lets members:
- View available court times
- Reserve courts and ball machines
- Register for on-court events
- Edit or cancel reservations anytime
As a member you e-mail has been added to the CourtReserve system, just click “Player Log-in” and set up a password to start your booking process

2. Choose Book a Court, Book a Court with Ball Machine, or Register for an Event
3. Select your date, time, and duration
4. Save — confirmation is sent by email
Helpful Tips
- Book early — popular times fill quickly
- Please cancel if plans change
- Ball machines work best on Court 3 (Courts 4–6 also available with extension cord)
Courts 7–8 (between the Front Gate and the Venture Out Center): Lighted courts available to residents on a first-come, first-served basis—no reservations.

Which tournaments and invitationals can members enter?
Tournaments are typically larger, organized events that run over one or more days. The Venture Out Fall Classic is a don’t-miss tournament.

What social and volunteer opportunities are available to members?

Fundraising and volunteer events bring members together to support the Tennis Club and Venture Out community while having fun, meeting new people, and making a meaningful difference.
What is a Member Evaluation and why is it useful?
Member Evaluation is a free service that assesses a member’s doubles skills and playing experience using the National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP) guidelines. Evaluations are optional and not required for membership, but they open the door to many of the Club’s most enriching tennis opportunities.

Join the Venture Out Tennis Club for just $40 per season and enjoy tennis, learning, and community.
Members receive a free skill evaluation, guided support, court access, ball machines, leagues, ladders, clinics, tournaments, and invitationals. From beginner lessons to competitive league play—plus social events and volunteer opportunities—there’s something for every level.
Note: Non-playing members can join for only $10 per season. This option is perfect for those who don’t wish to play tennis but would like to support the club by volunteering, helping with fundraisers, and/or attending social functions.
