A Few Quick Updates Around the Resort

From a new pedestrian gate on Broadway to cold soda machine locations and updates to our Condo Manager system, there are a few helpful changes happening around the community. Here’s a quick look at what’s new and a couple of reminders to keep things running smoothly.

DirecTV Boxes are here

If you haven’t picked up your DirecTV receiver yet, swing by the Admin Office and grab yours. It’s waiting for you!

Pool Umbrellas

Please remember to lower the pool umbrellas when you’re finished using them. Even a quick gust of wind can catch an open umbrella and bend the pole or damage the table, like the one shown here. Taking a moment to put the umbrella back down helps keep them in good condition for everyone to enjoy.

Out-Lines Correction: Men's Bible Study

The Men’s Bible Study begins at 8AM, not 7AM as listed in the Outlines “Daily Timetable.”

Hey Vinny!

Hey, Vinny! I don’t leave my wonderful home often, but when I do venture out, I sure appreciate the new pedestrian gate out onto Broadway.  Thanks, and I will look both ways.

A. Well now, that’s mighty kind of you to say.

This old desert coyote doesn’t wander far from his den either, but that new pedestrian gate onto Broadway sure makes those occasional outings a little easier. Truth be told, that project had been on the drawing board for quite a while. With the new gatekeeper here, it finally moved from talk to action and got across the finish line.

So when you head out, take a peek both ways and enjoy the new path in and out of the neighborhood. Vinny will be around, keeping watch from the shade.

Hey, Vinny! I have been trotting around and can’t find my favorite soda machines.  I did locate one near the maintenance area, but they may not appreciate my presence. Could you help me with this? from a thirsty one.

A. We’ve got three soda machines around the resort these days. You’ll find one in the Laundry Room, one in the Community Center inside, and another out by the Maintenance Yard.

And don’t you worry about that last one. Even though it’s near Maintenance, everyone is welcome to use it. So if you’re wandering by and feeling a little parched, go right ahead and grab yourself a cold one.

Hey, Vinny! Many of us have noticed that the park seems quieter this year.  Could you give us a comparison of how many people are in the park at this time compared to last year?  In the past, we were given monthly updates on numbers in The Outlines.  Maybe we could receive this information again monthly?

A. Well now, that’s a fair question.

Old Steve’s been mighty busy getting the new Condo Manager software set up so we can keep better track of who’s coming and going around the community. If all goes according to plan, we’re hoping to have a process in place by fall that will let us run that kind of report.

In the meantime, Vinny has one small favor to ask of everyone. Please remember to check out when you leave and check back in when you return. It helps keep the records straight and makes the whole system work the way it’s supposed to.

Send your own Hey, Vinny! Letter

Well I’ll be… they finally gave this old desert coyote his own page.

If you’ve ever had a question about how things work around Venture Out, wondered why something is done a certain way, or just wanted a little straight-shootin’ explanation, now’s your chance.

Head over to the new Hey Vinny! page on the website and submit your question using the form provided. I’ll be reviewing what comes in, and selected questions will be answered right here in the newsletter for the whole community to see.

Keep it respectful. Keep it neighborly. And remember, if you’re wondering about it, chances are someone else is too.

Go on now… don’t make me sit by the campfire alone.
